Hi I'm new to this forum... :help:

I really don't know if I should worry at this point...

My case was submitted directly to CSC in early Dec 07 (please see my timeline for details), I notice MOST PEOPLE (CSC cases) who applied at about the same time as me, or even later than me, got their approvals already.

I know the USCIS site states that they're processing cases filed by 10/18/2007 as of mid-April 2008, however we know this info is always off, people always get approvals way earlier than that date. I notice some of them even got approved in 2 MONTHS!

I haven't heard anything since my biometrics taken in early January... it's been 3 and a half months... I feel really panicked... do you guys think this is normal? :(

Do you think it has anything to do with local offices (in my case that would be Santa Ana)?

Try waiting 15 months plus..... then you can start to worry

Well I'm talking about CSC if you haven't noticed...

A lot of us that were waiting for 12 months plus recently got transfered to CSC and a lot of us are now getting approved. Maybe this is slowing yours down. I wouldn't worry, it's only fair.

I've seen only one other case in a list thread with a NOA1 date in Dec 07 that filed with CSC - they got approved beginning of April 08.

Unfortunately one case isn't really enough to draw to conclusions as to where a service center might be in terms of processing.

Since you're still within your service center's official processing times there is not really anything you can do but to wait it out.

I sent my application to CSC on 1-2-08, had biometric done on 1-31-08, got approved on 4-7-08 and received green card on 4-14-08.

some people got transferred from NSC were approved around 2 months.

As long as you submitted enough evidence, you would get approval notice soon.

The only thing we can do to deal with USCIS is to be patient and I think you make an infopass appointment if your case will be out of 6 months window period.

Which area do you live if you don't mind sharing? I've heard that people from LA got their approvals soonest...

Princesskate we are in the same boat, actually have an NOA date of 10/03/07. Now that they have updated the processing times I am going to call today and try to find out a status.

Wow! THat's out of the CSC window!! Please let me know if there is any update from USCIS representative...

By the way when did you have your biometrics? I don't see it in your timeline.

I called today and never made it past the automated thingy to an operator because I had a crying baby, but at least I know we werent ever issued an RFE or something I didnt know about. I'll have to try again tomorrow. Biometrics was 10/30 and the last update on our case was 11/01.
