My fiancé's annulment is granted and we are just waiting for the finalities...yippy....but my concern is that my fiancé had three kids while married and her soon to be annulled husband is none to happy about her winning her freedom. So I figure when it comes time for him to sign the kids consent affidavit to travel he will not be cooperative and im not sure what we can do about that. Has anyone had an issue like this? I just want to see where we stand before we start the process. Its sad we have to deal with this because he is like completely non involved with his kids.

I didnt need my ex-husband to sign any documents for my daughter to get out of the country. My annulment decision didnt even indicate full custody of my daughter. I just presented her NSO birth certificate at the immigration before we waited and boarded our plane bound to US. Do not worry too much about it.

All above true...slide some cash his way. it will ease the pain for u

Great news...thanks everyone!

If he were a typical poor Filipino that might work but both my fiancée and her annulled husband are very well off actually.

If he is well off, as in really well off and if he has good "connections" powers that be, then it will probably be cause for worry. It is sad but money and connection ("who you know") works really well in this country. I hope there will not be any battle for parental custody after the annulment.... mothers usually have the upper hand on this but if the ex husband have the means and again, the right connection, it could be a problem.

I hope your love for each other is strong enough to hurdle everything. And i hope and pray that the ex-hubby will be able to get pass his hurt and his bruised pride to be able to let go of the ex wife completely.

I wish you all the best. God be your source of strength & guidance.

I remember a member with a similar situation a few months back. if I recall correctly one of the children was in custody of the ex's parents. he reported all obtained visas and are now in the US. his ID slips my mind right now.

I travel to the phils quite often so I know what you mean about money helping get your way. I have used it a couple time to my advantage during my stays. The good thing is I dont believe the kids father is real connected. He is pretty much a lazy bum but his mother is very rich and he lives off her wealth. He is a drunken drug user too but if he gets pissed enough I guess he could find a good lawyer with connections to cause us problems. I hope the advice I recieved here is true and its not a problem. The other good thing is that my fiancee has custody of the kids!
