I sent the I-129F out to the Vermont service center on March 10th, 2008. They recieved (verified through postal service) the package on the 11th of March. They cashed according to my bank records on March 14th. As of today I still have yet to recieve a NOA1. I tried calling their "helpful" 1-800 # and after 20 minutes finally got to a customer rep on April the 8th. She told me I had to wait until thirty four days had passed since they recieved the package before I could inquire on this. So I have waited the alloted time and tried calling again today. Spent another 20 minutes trying to get to an operator prompt. At work so I had to hang up before talking to a human. Just curious if anyone else has had this delay? Searching the timelines it seems Vermont is pretty on the ball with NOA1's within a few days. Any suggestions?

You do not need the NOA1... You can get the information (ie.. case number) from the back of your cancelled check.

YMMV

I thought they made a copy of the check, destroyed the orginal, and made an EFT withdrawl using the check information. In otherwords there is no cancelled check. Am I wrong about this?
