Engagement Ring Receipt

When we sent off our I-129F packet we included a copy of the receipt from the jewellers for Megan's engagement ring. But having looked back at it we sent the packet away on April 5th and the receipt is dated April 3rd. Will that look too suspiscious to the person judging the case or am I worrying myself over nothing?

I think you are worrying over nothing.

An engagement ring is secondary evidence. It doesn't prove that you met in person in the past two years at all. It's not required and probably won't even be held into account when reviewing your file.

That is the type of thing that can be brought to the interview, but even still, doesn't really prove much. Anyone can buy a ring.

Don't sweat it.

I got my fiance's engagement ring hand made from a very good friend of mine. Were not worried cause we didnt buy it from a jewellers. We dont have any kind of receipt either.

An engagement ring receipt does not prove having met your fiance(e) in person in the last two years, which of course is the primary hurdle that needs to be demonstrated in the petition filing.

i got a receipt and i lost the ring... how sucky is that....
