I know prices may vary but just wanted to know what the going rate was. I'm trying to work out

the total cost of everything for me to file my AoS packet etc so far I'm at $1365.00 LoL

I paid around $175. Use your european credit card to save some money. :whistle:

AOS from J-1 - Chicago

2007-09-04 Married in the US on J-1

2008-01-03 Sent AOS+EAD application to Chicago

2008-02-13 Got a job - cannot work though

2008-02-28 Rejection Notice/ RFE - forgot $355 Check for I-130 /me stupid

2008-03-03 RFE sent back to Chicago

2008-04-04 Checks cashed

2008-04-07 NoA1 in mail

2008-04-11 Appointment Notice in Mail

2008-04-28 Date for Biometric Appointment

2008-05-13 I-765/ EAD approved

2008-05-20 I-765/ EAD received

2008-07-02 Interview

2008-07-03 Green Card Production Ordered

2008-07-14 Approval Notice sent (I know, weird order!)

2008-07-15 Green Card received (even though they call it Approval Notice)

I-751 (removal of conditions to receive perm green card) - California Service Center

Looks short, I know! :)

I hope I can get it for one of those prices here in Indiana.

Only thing is I don't have a copy of my vaccinations from Scotland to take to the medical exam so I'm not sure what will happen about that, I can get them but its going to take a while I plan on getting my medical exam over with a.s.a.p.

I paid $100 in NYC BUT had to pay separately for several shots (tetanus, 2 chicken pox shots, and maybe another one) so I lost track but wouldn't be surprised if it ended up costing about $350-$400 in total.

N-400

5-12-11: N-400 package mailed

5-18-11: check cashed

5-17-11: NOA date

6-14-11: biometrics date (missed notice + appointment due to travels)

6-16-11: fingerprints done

7-25-11: interview letter date

8-31-11: interview

9-20-11: oath!!!!

When I called the Medical Office (Maryland) I was told that it will cost $135. Turned out I had to pay separately for the shots (MMR, Tetanus), pregnancy test (not required but I had to make sure i'm not pregnant before i have MMR shots) and X-ray. I paid $410 for everything. :o

I already had measles and mumps but blood test to verify is more expensive than having the shot, so i opted to get the shots.

Then I can finally send away my AoS packet and play the waiting game :o)
