I can empathise - my cat Jasper was only about 7 when he died as well of a tumour. I was so distraught and it was right after Christmas a couple of years ago.

It will get easier in time and eventually you will look back and remember the happy times :)

I had a Jasper too - big apricot coloured ball of fluff. He even had a fan club down the street where I used to live. He died at age 7 from renal failure.

I had a Jasper, too. He died 2 weeks after I adopted him, from a massive intestinal blockage, at age 1 & 1/2. Although I only had him 2 weeks, I was still devestated. He was a lovely kitty. I still miss that little guy.

Yea im afraid to ever get another kitty, my heart cant take anymore death of kitties. :(

Me either guys! My heart could not take it again.

I know how you feel and I knew I needed plenty of time after my 19 year old kitty died...time to heal a bit, but then another furry creature crossed my path and needed a home and it really was an honor to bring her and then another one into my home. They bring so much love and comfort. It may not be the time for a long time, to share your home with another furry friend, but hopefully if the opportunity arises, you'll be able to be open to all of the joy they bring.

You need them as much as they need you. (F)
