Yesterday he was fine, he was normal. At around 8pm he colapsed to the floor and began crying......................

Sory!

I really know the pain you're going through.

I lost my cat once, but in my case i had to agree to the euthanasia, so he wouldn't suffer more.

I believe it was the hardest decision i ever made.

I felt myssself a traitor.

I feel ya, i was advised to make that decision, however Cocoa made the decision before i could voice it :(

Sooo sorry to hear, and dont feel like a traitor, you did the right thing if kitty was suffering. :(

I do not think you can win either way Bry, I chose to let Iggy try to fight because I read on the internet he was not in pain and I wanted to give him every opprotunity. Also, I figured I would know when it was time but like Sin he decided when it was time and I wonder if I should have just put him down and maybe it would have better for him. I just think you lose either way.

You know what sucks is life is about that sometimes. Life is about making decision that seems right, but hurt you or somebody else really much. My cat was looking at me with such scared eyes, and after 2 weeks of treatments that didn't help, he seemed to be real energetic. He was looking at me like he knew were was i taking him.

One thing i knew for sure that day- i will never have a kitty again, just because i can't handle the separation.

thank you for your words.

your kitty is happy right now (F)

My daughter now wants me to find a pet cemetery bc shes afraid mom and dad will eventually sell the house and leave cocoa there alone.

Im thinking of just taking him back to his vet, having him cremated, so we can keep his ashes in an urn.

It's stunning how much we love our furry creatures, especially because (in my opinion), it's much purer than how we love our partners because our animals can truly never do us any harm.

Whenever I read of people losing their pets, I start crying and make sure that I hug my special boy super hard. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that one day I'll lose him. Even when he goes away on vacay with his grandparents (yes, he is a dog), he starts getting anxious after a couple of days apart even though he loves it there.

My mom had her dog cremated, because we both had apartments at the time, and we have her in a very nice pine box with a lock on it. We have a little cermaic black cocker angel we found on top of the box.

I've had to leave many a pet buried in a back garden. It's just a way of life for us, really. Sad, but we do have to move on. I have my memories of them to keep me happy. (F)

I can empathise - my cat Jasper was only about 7 when he died as well of a tumour. I was so distraught and it was right after Christmas a couple of years ago.

It will get easier in time and eventually you will look back and remember the happy times :)
