After 25 months, including a 7 month IMBRA delay, a lost medical, 2 RFE's, 2 AOS interviews, an MTR and a last-minute co-sponsorship filing due to an arcane USCIS ruling the welcome letter finally came, and have to imagine the green card will arrive soon soon soon. Tomorrow would be nice as it my wife's 25th!

If the green card arrives without errors, then you get a 21 month break from USCIS, then file to remove conditions on her permanent resident status.

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

if you will havwe been married for two years as of december this year, cannot you file for permenent residency then?

j and c, not sure what you are asking for. OP's wife filed for adjustment of status to legal permanent resident. Since they were married for less than 2 yrs when they got their AOS approval, they are getting a 2-yr (conditional) permanent resident card. She is a legal permanent resident, but with conditions.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

Right and you cannot begin to remove conditions until 21 months after the conditional permanent resident status was granted, even if your two-year anniversary is one day later.
