CLINTON INTERNALS SHOW 11-POINT LEAD IN PA

Mon Apr 21 2008 11:10:14 ET

**Exclusive**

Controlled excitement is building inside of Clinton's inner circle as closely guarded internal polling shows the former first lady with an 11-point lead in Pennsylvania!

Clinton is polling near to nearly 2 to 1 over Obama in many regions of the state, a top insider explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

A strong coalition of middle-class and religious voters has all but secured a Clinton victory Tuesday, with headline-making margins, the campaign believes.

...

An 11-point victory in Pennsylvania for Clinton would expand on margins scored in Ohio.

...

Without superdelegate intervention, Clinton still faces impossible math to nomination.

Dem voter surge could cut Clinton margin

An historic spike in Democratic voter registrations in Pennsylvania could help Barack Obama cut into Hillary Clinton’s vote in Tuesday’s primary, robbing her of the big victory margin she needs to justify continuing the primary fight.

The changing party demographics also are contributing to an overall bluing of the Keystone State that could dim Republican John McCain’s hopes of competing there in the fall.

A county-by-county analysis by Politico suggests that the hard-fought primary between Obama and Clinton has accelerated an ongoing partisan shift in Pennsylvania that could soon move it out of the battleground presidential states and ripple across congressional races this fall, as well.

Lemme see: A state that favors her demographically. A state where she was ahead by 20 points or better a few short weeks ago. Finishing this with a 10-11 point lead would be a landslide? Odd.

well, it should be a landslide for the Mr. Sure Thing...but hey, it's not.

You want to talk along those lines, always remember that Ms. inevitable should have had this all wrapped up in February. But hey, she didn't make it. And she won't. ;)

Hey, it ain't no secret: She's no longer inevitable but he's still in the lead and will remain there.

As I pointed out in another thread, once you mention kool aid, you essentially admit that you have no actual point to make.

Well, you are holding on to straws since you have not yet explained how Hillary would be the nominee without putting aside and disregarding the votes that over 25 million voters have cast thus far and the additional ones yet to be cast. Hillary's only path to the nomination is against the expressed will of the voters. I don't see that happening. I must not happen. For the sake of the Democratic party and for the sake of democracy.

Sorry, can you try that again with proper grammar?

PS: Nice deflection, Pot.

Grammar? You're getting weaker with every post. There's nothing wrong grammatically with the highlighted sentence. Nothing. It was a simple typo.

No deflection there either. Just a valid point that you can't counter. I see it makes you angry. Relax, it'll be over soon.

Wow. So a potential Presidential nominee is hiding from the media now??? Pathetic. :protest:

Obama avoids media in final days of PA

Posted: 04:44 PM ET

BLUE BELL, Pennsylvania (CNN) – It's now been ten days since Democrat Barack Obama has made himself available for questions from his traveling press corps, and it appears as though that number could rise even higher in the days to come.

Aides have said it'll be unlikely he’ll hold an availability with reporters before Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary, but that they "could always add one." Although given their track record over the past few days, that doesn't sound promising.

Over the past three days, the possibility of a media availability has been dangled in front of reporters twice—only to be snatched away at the last possible moment.

On Saturday, reporters were teased for the majority of the day with a possible evening avail, only to be told at the eleventh hour that it would not be happening. To make it up, staffers said they were aiming to put him in front of cameras on Sunday but that, too, did not happen.

Traveling press secretary Jen Psaki declined to comment on exactly why no time has been allotted for traveling press questions since a press conference in Indianapolis April 11. In the campaign's defense, though, they haven't avoided interviews altogether. Obama sat down for one-on-one's with a handful of local and national press Thursday.
