I already have my EAD but I've applied in differents locations (walmart, waltgreens, CVS, Tom Thumb....) and none has called me yet. I'm kind of pharmacist (Chemist Pharmacist Biologist in my country) I don't have experience. I'm in the way to get my titles/degree evaluated I'm not sure if it's extrictly necessary to get a job in the professional area.

I'm looking for benefits and at least 9 dollars per hour. Part time. I don't mind work in another thing but I want to have benefits...

Am I too ambitiuos?

To work as a pharmacist you will need your degree/certificates in order. Check with professionals here in your field (Go to walgreens when its not busy and chat with the pharmacist). Maybe you could just take a US certification exam. In the meantime, a pharmacy tech might be a good fit. The pay is above $9,its in demand. Most places want people to be certified but they will hire people w/o the certificate with the expectation that they will take and pass the exam.

For a position like this, I think the key to getting hired will be (apply online, like the always say). But follow up by visiting the place, speak to pharmacist, speak to the manager of the store (bring your resume). Its a lot of work, but I think you'll have better results.

Try www.twc.state.tx.us. My cousin got a realy nice job working in a lab through the Texas Work Force Commission. She works in the lab testing frozen food and frozen meats in Grand Prairie, TX a few miles from Dallas. They started her off at around $15/hour. Its great with benefits and they get to bring a lot of food home. She said that they open this big restaurant style packages of meat, test one item and because they cannot repack the boxes, they get to take everything else home. I get lots of free meat, fish, vegetables. email me at greyso@yahoo.com if you are interested and I will get you her employers info tonight. But email me first so I know to go ahead and do this.
