Hello All,

I just realized that my I-864 pack was generated last week, so now I am scrambling to get this stuff out today. The NVC automated line is a bit tricky on this one so I'm a few days behind with sending out these forms.

Anyway, I have all the items ready to go except I have a couple of questions:

  1. Do I send copies of my W2's and pay stubs or originals?
  2. Do I need 6 months of paystubs or just the last 3 as per James Shortcuts?
I don't know where all my paystubs for the last 6 months are, but I have about 3 months worth on hand right now. I have always made over poverty guidelines so I am hoping this isn't that big of a deal.

Please help, I would like to get this stuff in the mail today.

Thanks so much guys!!

~M.

1) Photo copy of 1040 and photo copies of W2 (OR you can always send simple transcripts from the IRS instead)

2) 3 months are fine, just a few recent paystubs are OK.

Completing the Affidavit of Support forms

Are the Affidavit of Support forms required to be notarized?

No. The sponsor just has to sign the form. You should know however, when the sponsor signs an Affidavit of Support form, he/she certifies that the information provided, transcript and/or photocopy of tax documentation is true and correct, under penalty of perjury.

Thanks for that info.

Also do i need to write my NVC case number on all forms?

Yes you do, my dear, on every single page in the right upper corner. So happy to hear that you are finally moving along.:dance: Will you be paying your IV bill on-line?

well i hear the online system is up and down up and down. So hopefully I can pay it online when the time comes. I'll be asking for my IIN number tonight. I like to call NVC late at night when nobody else is cause they are more willing to talk to you then, haha.
