Hi All

My fiancee in US has received the NOA2 on 10th March. A week, she tried to confirm the status of the same at the NVC. They told us to contact the consulate at Mumbai

as the case has BMB........... serial. I called them today and queried about my case status that I am expecting a packet 3 from your end. The operator just told me to

downloand it from website and send it and hung up.

I was expecting something different as per the K1 flowchart at this site which states :

Case Forwarded by NVC to U.S. Embassy in your fiance(e)'s country

Embassy receives package and processes it. They will then prepare a letter to be sent to the foreign fiance(e).

Forms and Checklist sent to foreign Beneficiary (Fiance/e).

I guess in my case the case has been forwarded to the consulate at mumbai rather than the embassy at delhi, right ?

So, the consulate has to send me the letter with the checklist which is packet 3, right ? I don't have to download from the website ?

Help me clear the confusion here and tomorrow I am going to argue with that silly operator.

thanks !
