Hi gang, my wife's friend (who we met at a grocery store one day and she overheard us talking Russian) came toi the US a while back, got married and has a child. They filed their AOS papers, via her Mother in Law, and sent everything in. She rcvd an RFE requesting additional medical evidence, and she got a medical performed by a civil surgeon and sent a copy to then - even though she surrendered her original medical papers when she cleared her POE.

Well Mother in Law Dearest sent the medical info via USPS regular mail to the MSC, even though the case was re-directed to the CSC. Care to guess who didn't send it via certified or registered mail? CSC sent her a letter stating it was abondoned unless she can comply w/ 1 of the 3 categories of eligibility. 1) not needed for AOS 2) submitted w/ the original AOS docs or 3) sent previously via mail but you need proof.

She has another copy of her medical, is it worth sending in w/ the original RFE and the recent letter and the $385.00 for a motion to reopen, or should she just chalk it off and start all over. Her 84 days April 28th of this year.

Why did they do everything through the mother-in-law..... is she an expert???

If I was them I would go see a good immigration lawyer as soon as possible... if they have had the denial letter and they have done nothing I dont know what can be done other than starting all over again....
