I am still figuring out all the features of this site and exploring but I can't find any stats that explain just how many people are actually denied from getting their K-1 visa (after the I-129 has been approved).

It seems like most people get the visa with just one interview and a small handful of people have to go back for a second interview but I am sure some people must be denied, right?

Where can I find info on the denial rate?

I am just curious. I know that my fiance and I have all we need but I am still rather nervous. I thought reading some statistics about just how many people are actually approved would help.

OUR STORY and TIMELINE:

07/05: Jose and I met while I was living in Costa Rica!

10/07: We filed our application (I-129F)

02/08: Petition is approved!

03/08: CR Embassy receives our file

04/08: Jose's interview in San Jose, Costa Rica (April 25th). VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05/08: May 14th Jose arrives in at JFK, May 16th he arrives in California!!!

07/08: Married!

08/08: AOS/EAD/AP paperwork submitted

08/08: Biometrics Appointment

12/08: Interview for Adjustment of Status, very easy and all went well!

We expect to have Jose's greencard by February!

well I guess they have no reason to do that because your fiance is an american and she or he has got right to do marry whoever they want so as long as relationship is ok why there would be a problem??

My fiance is from Costa Rica

I think the denials are very low, some may take a long time due to admin processing but they just take longer.

I think it could be quite ok to also be able to see denial statistics... a USC may have the right to marry someone from oversees but a beneficiary can always be denied on a lot of grounds (hiv/criminality/etc)... it would be nice to see what the stats would be on these... even tho I know there is not much for me to worry about, I still have some worries because of my past..

N400 Timeline:

12/14/11 - Sending out N400 package

12/27/11 - Received NOA

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date
