My fiance applied for a visit visa for visitation purposes. Unfortunately she was denied, now due to the fact the she was denied we decided that we should just go ahead and get married and begin this long illustrious process now rather than later. Which now of course we should have just went ahead and done this in the first place. FYI she is in Pakistan. My question is will the tourist visa denial affect anything to do with the K1 in anyway? Thank you

Aug 2001- met in highschool in US

Feb 15 2006- sent I 129

Feb 17 2006- NOA1

Feb 23 2006- *touched*

April 1 2006- still waiting =(

July 10 2006- touched!!

July 11 2006- touched again!!!

July 24 2006- touched (RFE in email)

Aug. 7 2006- RFE in mail

Aug 15 2006- sent back RFE (the wait begins again)

Aug 26 2006- touched (RFE recieved)

Aug 28 2006- APPROVED!!!!!- after 192 days~!

Sep 3 2006- get NOA2 in snail mail

Sep 13 2006-NVC recieves case!!!

Sep 18 2006- NVC sents case to Embassy!!

Sep 21 2006- Embassy recieves!

Sep 27 2006- Embassy send interview packet!!

Nov 9 2006- Medical completed

Nov 20 2006- Interview APPROVED

Nov 22 2006- picking up my VISA

NOV 23 2006- leaving for ATLANTA

It should have no bearing. Visitors visas from Pakistan are hard to come by and that is why I ended up going and marrying my husband there. Good luck. Here are the links for the Pakistan forums, please feel free to join us if you like.

Naah - my wife also was denied a tourist visa a few years ago (She is from Colombia.) She came here on a K1 - relax and don't worry about the denial. Good Luck

My fiance' applied for a visitors visa and got turned down too (oh boy, did he lol). I was worried about this too at first, but now I think it just proves that we want to do things the right way. So, don't worry about it :no:

7/27/2006: Arrival in NYC! -- I-94/EAD stamp in passport

8/08/2006: Applied for Social Security Card

8/18/2006: Social Security Card arrives

8/25/2006: WEDDING!

AOS...

9/11/2006: Appointment with Civil Surgeon for vaccination supplement

9/18/2006: Mailed AOS and renewal EAD applications to Chicago

10/2/2006: NOA1's for AOS and EAD applications

10/13/2006: Biometrics taken

10/14/2006: NOA -- case transferred to CSC

10/30/2006: AOS approved without interview, greencard will be sent! :)

11/04/2006: Greencard arrives in the mail! :-D

... No more USCIS for two whole years! ...

It wont matter, I was denied a Visa Waiver, which was really stressful for me at the time, but as long as you are honest, it will be alright - so you can press on with the k-1 if you wish, it is supposed to be a bit faster than the k-3 so I have heard.

07/11/2005 Applied for Police Certificate

15/11/2005 Police Clearance Cert Arrived

17/11/2005 Received at Consulate

30/11/2005 Medical at Edinburgh Nuffield Screening Center

01/12/2005 Telephoned for Medical Results, everything fine

03/12/2005 Packet 3 Received from Consulate!! Yipee!!

08/12/2005 X-Ray and Medical Results delivered by Courier

09/12/2005 Packet 3 Sent back to Consulate
