Hi,

Anyone here have any idea how many pictures are needed to be presented to the COnsul during interview as proof of relationship? Our agency said we have to present more than 200 pictures. Is this true? I already started compiling and labeling all our pics, and I just realized, I'd need about 2 or 3 albums to paste more than 200 pictures. Is this true? Must all pics just be between me and my fiance? or can we also present pics with my family and friends around?

About phone bills...my cellphone is registered under my mom's name because it's her additional postpaid plan (she has 3 postpaid cellphone plans), so I took the other one and I'm the one paying it. But can we use it as proof of our relationship even though it's registered under my mom's name? I really would like to present it as additional proof because the bill clearly shows I text with my fiance everyday. In the bill it's got SMS to USA everyday, and I have to say I pay an awful lot of money for my phone bill... can I actually use my phone bill as proof of relationship even though it's registered under my mom's name?

Hope someone can help me. Thanks!

I just read a post yesterday from someone who was told by a VO that 6 is not enough.

Why not bring all the pics you have? We plan on bringing a couple hundred.

We will put the ones clearly showing that I am with her in China on top. Next will be pictures with her and I and the family (especially pics including her son). then, will be pics of us together in which the location is not definite.

If your address is the same as the billing address on the phone bill, it might be accepted as evidence. It is really up to the VO. It's worth a try: The worst that could happen is that it would not be accepted.

Really? Phew, that's a relief! I know, I was shocked to find out it had to be that many. I mean, I certainly dont want to go to the US embassy carrying load of photo albums. In your pictures, there were pics of you and your fiance with friends and family? or the pics just have to be you and your fiance?

Thank you Richard and Li! I guess you're right. No harm in just bringing everything, eh? Okay, thank you for the quick response! I am so excited for my interview! hehe Good luck to us all!

Our agency said we have to present more than 200 pictures. Is this true?

I know i am outside this region but, i have seen many comments from Phil filers mentioning "agencies."

is this necessary or just a huge waste of money?? I have been maried previously and did the whole process without an attorney within the usa,, and recently did DCF filing..

seems to me that attorneys or representation become a waste of money. Is PHIL different? I have a colleague that is thinking of doing the process soon. is it a law that PHIL filers use external reps???? i would have told her not but this forum makes things confusing.

This is not from experience because we're still waiting for our interview.

However, my wife will be bringing Two albums. One from our wedding day and one from our vacations on different dates and places.

Both albums have about 100 photos each. Overkill? Maybe. But I'm not leaving anything to chance.

The CO could go through six photos or our entire albums. I really dont care as long as he/she gives my wife a visa.

A 4x6 photo albums with 100 photos is only about 4X6X2 inches in diameter and weighs only about 1 pound. I really dont think bringing tons of photos is a big deal in my opinion.

Im gonna bring about 25 or 30. One from each place we went or at least different parts of each place. It seems pointless to bring 10 pics of the same place. 1 or 2 from each place should be enough but thats just my opinion and I'll find out in a couple days. It shouldnt hurt to do 200 although I dont think it nessesary.

We already sent 40++ pics together with our I-129F and I will be bringing some more to the interview but I am already turning our pictures into a collage or montage then putting it in a photo album refill sheet so it won't be bulky. It will be pictures of us together, him with my kids, and some pictures with my friends and families.

The USEM guideline is only asking for additional 6 or more pictures: (Preparing your interview materials)... so 200++ maybe overkill but if it will make you more comfortable and confident that you are fully covered then there is probably no harm in doing so. Just find a way to minimize the bulk.

God speed. (F)

hi beauty2783. you can bring the albums just in case u face the consul and he/she asks for more pictures for proofs then u can show them.(its always better to be ready than sorry) u may be asked to flip the pages of the albums telling a short description, like where and when were they taken. but on the filipino prescreener, he/she would only asks for few more pics(so make sure u give whatever is not included on the petition ur fiance sent when he applied for your I-129f coz those are already in their possession when they interview u). if i may suggests (based on my experience, where in i placed the pics in a folder but i end up just flipping the pages becoz somehow he just asks for few pics only), glue the pics in a bond paper, back to back around 5 pages. choose pics you and him with family, with friends or even sweet pics of you together. then becoz the bond papers are very thin, they will easily bend and slip to the slot of the window of the prescreener. ill describe the slot for u so u will have an idea. estimate only (it is 16 inches wide but only 1 inch thick. so imagine if your folder is more than 1 inch, it will not go through the slot) so anything u submit is not necessarily thick, becoz the window slot is not a flat surface, its curved hmmm its hard to explain, but im trying hehehe... your folder must be very soft so it would bend going thru the slot) so thats why i suggest you just glue the pics in a bond papers coz they would bend easily.

thanks for this great infor Lot.. I have heard many times that the window slot is very small but i have not heard it to be curved till now... my album refills (those that you buy per piece) would be very thin but they are not entirely bendable.... now what you wrote about this curved opening makes me reconsider pasting my montages it in a specialty paper now. Thank you again for this great info and for all the other great info that you share here. KUDOS to you!
