hello to all,

Just new here. I have a friend who will be having her interview sooner but unfortunately she's not a member here. I told her maybe on the site where I usually get informations, there might be someone who has idea about what to wear on the interview. She's really nervous on what to wear. I told her formal though I don't have any idea too of what kind of formality. Maybe the USEM has a dress code for the interview.

Thanks for all the replies that I would be getting.

VJ rocks!!! This site has given me a lot of reliable informations and what's great is that the informations were based from the members experiences. Thanks a lot and goodluck to all of us.

God bless always.

I heard that the USEM is a little bit conservative of what to wear. I guess slacks and a blouse will do just fine. When I had my interview, I wore shirt and jeans and sneakers so I would feel comfortable and easier for me to move around especially I carried loads of paperworks (which was really unnecessary though :secret: ). I am not sure if its acceptable in the US Embassy manila.

Good luck!!!

I think she should dress conservatively (smart shirt and trousers or skirt) with maybe her hair tied back so they can see all her glowing expressions :)

I always suggest business casual or business dress. Dress for success. My wife felt more comfortable in a skirt but slacks are equally acceptable. Any actual "dress code" would be more like "Wear clothes, including shoes."

Amen pushbrk,

Dressing nicely for a job isn't any different than dressing nicely for a Visa.
