I followed Tbone's thread on "how to shake noa2 out of csc". I almost choked when the lady answered, because I wasn't expecting any body to answer. She was nice, and I was super nice to her; she put me on hold for a a minute, then told me the case was sent on the 17th. I was shocked to find that out, because, like most of you, I had a touch a day after approval (approved March 26) and I assumed that was when they shipped it to NVC. But, nope, it was still languishing at CSC untill the 17th

I hope mine doesn't languish at CSC for another month...they've had it almost 6 months already....aghhhh when will this nonsense end!!!! I will give it a couple of weeks then I will begin to call daily to see if it's been sent to NVC!

congrats Mariel & Joseph...guess yours and mine were the 2 lone VJ approvals from CSC last week!

Congrats! Let's see if we can stir them out of their slumber long enough to get our 2 - 129Fs to the mailbox. Wonder if they can do it with the hundreds of new employees they have hired.....

That's great news Sylvia & Joseph!

I hope that means all the rest of you waiting will find your petitions at the NVC today too! You're right it's very unfair that you 1) have to wait so much longer for approval and 2) now have to wait for it to be sent to NH!

As stated previously, I would urge all of you to contact your respresentatives! I'm with Vermont but I already voiced my opinions/concerns with ours simply because I believe the disparity is so unfair. Perhaps someone could prepare a template letter? The only way things can change is with a strong, educated and steady voice. We are the people to do that. There is a reason America is proud and there is a reason we have these rights! Use them! It might not effect your petition now but it's important to get right and wrong in the heads of those who represent us in the government. It's important, now more than ever, to do our part!

I've called the NVC about ten times in the last day. I only got through to the automated system once (it was busy signals the other times), and never through to a representative.

I guess I will have to wait for my case number to come in the mail.

Okay, so I called CSC and pushed all the "appropriate" buttons for an approved petition. You just get a customer service rep who isn't even in California and they CAN'T even tell you where the file is. The guy even told me that if I was approved on March 24, 2008 then that's when it was shipped. Yeah, right.

So, then I called and used TBone's RFE trick. Call 1-800-375-5283. Hit 1, 2, 2, 4, 2, 1. Enter your receipt number. Then hit 1, 1. You should get an actual person at CSC who can look and tell you EXACTLY where your file is. I spoke to a REALLY nice lady (but I can't remember her name).

I told her my NOA2 date was March 24, 2008. On the NOA2 is says "If it has been more than four weeks since you received this approval notice and you HAVE NOT received notification from NVC that you petition has been FORWARDED OVERSEAS, please call the NVC at (603) 334-0700"

I told her I called them and they told me they didn't have it yet. So it must still be in California. She said she would look and put me on hold for a minute.

When she got back on the line she said once the NOA2 is issued, the cases go to an "NVC staging area" to await shipment. Mine left the staging area yesterday which means that it is on its way to the NVC. It left on April 21, 2008.

If you call this number and get someone who won't go look, just try back later. I'm hoping that all of you with March approvals are on the truck with me!!!!!!!!

Tee hee hee :P It was actully 12 pounds and therefore should take up MORE room in the shipping crate, allowing for those behind me to get shipped slightly faster (or not . . . . ).

Oh well, that's life and it's NEVER fair. I'm just glad that I finally found someone who could tell me where my file was (I was just sure that they were out of cubicles and so they put a tablecloth over my GIGANTIC file and someone was using it as a desk).

I'm not sure what time they open. But I DO know that I called yesterday at about 4:30pm California time and they were closed. My guess is to call between 9:00am and 4:00pm to be safe.
