I have seen Vermont approve quite a few late november, middle december filers. I am end of February filer and thinking now they they may be able to approve mine by middle of May. What do you guys think?

There is no way to tell who gets approved when if you ask me. They dont seem to have any order in doing the approvals. There have been some Feb. and Mar. filers that are on this forum alone, imagine how many others that are not known to us because they dont use this forum. According to USCIS they are still on July 30th 2007 filers, but yet we still see so many people that are well beyond that day being approved. You never know, you might get approved before some Aug. and Sept. filers, all is possible in the hands of the mysterious USCIS.

I noticed the iraq cases as well. I wonder if USCIS sorts the file by location as well so they can prioritize cases that could have humanitarian concern...or maybe the two iraq cases file for expedite?

Don't quite know what the deal is with those 2 cases ..... but I know for a fact the 11 day one didn't apply for an expedite as I found a posting in a thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=120453 look at posting #11 at the bottom of the thread.

So, maybe you're right, they could be prioritising on location ..... a bit of a kick in the stomach there for all our military boys and girls

.... and as far as humanitarian situations are concerned, personally, I think we're ALL entitled to one of those over an H1-B filer

Have been checking out the approvals ..... is it my imagination or are VSC really moving on the November/December filers ??? ..... does this mean they're starting the speed up once again on the I-130's ???

I was looking at the threads from 2 years ago, and VSC used to approve I-130's in 2-4 weeks approximately, like they're doing with the K1's currently.

So, do I start getting excited for the coming couple of weeks, or do I still slap my $25 bet down on the 'Vegas Service Centre' roulette table and hope for the best ???

LOL ya i see the progress too isnt it amazing!! but it sucks when u see someone who filed 2 months after u.. and ur stil waitin doesnt it? im an oct filer and some ppl from oct here have heard nothing!! but its fun to see the others get the approval.. i realy do hope that they would cruch the aproval time to like they have in the past... that would be a miracle right??

Hyd, I agree, it would be a miracle. But like you, with the willy nilly approvals, as fun as it is to see others get them, I really feel as though I'm standing in line every day for my lottery ticket. I'd probably get good odds at the 'Vegas Service Centre' if I put my bet on another 6 months
