Yeah I read about that.... the crime smuggling yourself across the border if caught.....

The sad thing is the truck loads that come through everyday and get into horrible accidents on the freeways.

Who pays for it.... me and you ..... tax dollars or it's written off, if the injured leave the hospital without being arrested first....

I see from the article that some (all?) of the people arrested have filed dismissal charges at the local county court - my question is this - IF the cases are thrown out due to mis-application of the law (smuggling law), what will that mean?

That the people 'smuggling' themselves into that township will now no longer be able to be arrested?

Would the charges be thrown out BUT the people re-arrested as 'illegal immigrants' under the Immigration law?

I know little about American law - just wondered what opinion was.
