In Ecuador there is no Packet 3 so once you find out from the Consulate website that they have mailed your packet 4 you are able to make the appointment for the interview as long as you have completed all the instructions on Packet 4. Well we downloaded Packet 4 from the website and completed all the instruction but we have our interview on April 21 which is this monday and we still have not received anything in the mail from the consulate. Do we need to actually have the physical copy of the packet 4 with us for the interview or the one from the website ok?

I know Mexico has everything you need on the website and that is what we did. We had everything ready before we ever received the packet from the consulate. The only thing you acttually need is the appointment letter. As long as you have all the documents required by the consulate it doesn't matter if you have the actual packet from the consulate.

Where do you get this appointment letter from? We do not have one. What we do have is an email indicating that we could make the appointment without ever having received the Packet 4. What does the appointment letter look like?
