When we talk to each other via messenger, my husband and I like using audibles.We especially like those from Philippines on Tagalog language but we don't know what they mean.Can somebody translate them for me?Thanks in advance!

Thanx!!!I guess I like it because it sounds interesting.And I can differentiate words.In some languages I don't even know where one word ends and the next begins.I'm interested in learning different languages.Thank you again!

FYI, Pimsleur is only available through Barnes & Noble, but there's an authorized dealer on eBay who has them at much reduced prices compared to B&N:

http://stores.ebay.com/Learn-a-New-Languag...8QQftidZ2QQtZkm (He carries 2 courses, the one for $184.95 is the one I'm currently using). Seems expensive, but it's 16 CD's (32 courses) so there's quite a bit to be learned.

Rosetta Stone can be purchased at many places. I used Yahoo! Shopping for a price comparison and I think I ended up getting it through J&R Music but I'm not sure.

My goal is to be fluent when I return in Xmas 2010. My fiancee's father speaks English but is shy to speak it to me. My fiancee said he will not be shy to speak to me in Tagalog so I'm going to work hard at that!

Well then, I guess I'll buy it when I get to USA because I cannot purchase on line.I doubt I'll be able to find it here in Serbia.Maybe I can look in Belgrade, you can find anything there.Thanks!

FYI, Pimsleur is conversational Tagalog. They are just CDs to learn how to speak Tagalog using the native tongue, they don't teach spelling of the words. It teaches you how to ask for directions, ask and tell the time, etc. I prefer this one because I drive a lot, so I can practice while I'm driving.

Rosetta Stone, in my opinion, is good for building vocabulary and learning how to spell and pronounce some words, but you can only use it on a computer.

1 sitting of either course (Pimsleur or Rosetta Stone) takes about 30 minutes a day.
