That sounds much handier and neater. Now if they can improve a sitzbath. Or do they not have those anymore? It's been awhile.

I never used an "ice diaper" but they did give me a latex glove filled with ice to put on my perineum after the episiotomy/tearing. Really messy and uncomfy once it started melting.

Yeah, I've heard of varying methods... but apparantly there is a diaper now that they put a changeable baggie of ice inside, and they will come and change it as it melts (and it's sealed to prevent mess).

they sure didnt have these ice diapers and things like that 18 years ago when i gave birth. they had a sitz bath which i didnt use because i just cant imagine putting my u know what where someone elses uknow what was. for some reason i always worry the cleaning person was lazy and didnt clean well.

well the weather outside is beautiful today. finally some spring like weather. winter was getting to be a drag.

got all the bills paid today and then cleaned out the inside of the car. now its just like brand new all over again. so nice when they are clean.

oh yeah forgot to add....i had all back labor. felt like i had to poop all day and didnt believe it could be labor. i didnt know u can have all back labor. i thought it hurt only in the front. if i wouldnt have started spotting blood i would have probably stayed at home and gave birth there. the blood was the only reason i went to the hospital. just wanted to add my labor story for the first time moms here.

They gave me a disposable sitz bath so I used mine. I didn't love it but I used it.

Donna..I had back labor with both my boys. Holy hell was that painful. My mother, ex and aunt all took turns pounding the hell out of my lower back in an attempt to relieve some of my pain. No epidural...all natural the way God intended. I'm a goddamn trooper.

to tell u the truth i think i would rather have it all in the back. i used to have terrrible cramps my first day of my period and i would not re- live those ever again. i also had it all natural. i was only at the hospital 2 hours before she came. i think the first hour ur in a state of shock so it passes quickly and to tell u the truth my labor never got harder just the pains came closer together so no need for epidural or anything like that.

good luck all new moms to be...im sure we all have some stories to tell.

Jenn, can I have some of yoru iced coffee??? It's been 5 months now and no coffee!!! I did discover a new drink I can have at Starbucks, Steamers! Just plain steamed milk with flavored syrup, not bad...

I just want to say, with all these pregnant women around why didn't anyone warn me about hips stretching???? SOOOO painful! What else do I have to look forward to???

Last night we went out looking for nursery furniture because things are finally starting to feel real! I had a few complications with the pregnancy and ended up doing an amnio. We got the results back 2 days ago and everything is fine so now we are actually in the mood to start getting ready for my little JP!

BTW whoever posted that cafepress website the other day, thank you!!! I found the perfect little shirt for baby Taleen. It says "This is what a Jordanian Princess looks like".

My hips got wider with all my kids even though I'd weigh less coming out of the hospital than I did when I got pregnant. Stretch marks scared the hell outta me too. One day they weren't there.....the next day I looked like a topography map!
