I filed I-130 for my wife, who is in India last august 2007. I also send out I-129F around same time. On March 25th 2008, USCIS-California approved both cases and forwarded to NVC. It has been over 20 days. I called NVC who are saying they haven't received petitions yet and CIS saying they have forwarded them to NVC. I don't know what's going on there? It's really hard to find out current status of the petitions. Is there anything to track this transfer between USCIS and NVC? What can be done here? I thought K3 visa suppose to be faster but its taking as long as CR1 is taking.

Really appreciate your help….

Note: USCIS will probably hold the I-130 and send the I-129F in favor of the K-3, there is no running both through NVC.

Yes, I have received both, K3 and I-130 approval notices from USCIS. USCIS has forwarded both petitions to NVC but current status is unknown.

They may have approved them both but the I-129F will be the petition that CSC will probbably send on per the MEMO I posted a link to.

hey there... we are waiting too, NVC still didn't received yet the I-129F, both petition approved last 3/26/2008. when we called uscis they said they already sent it to NVC, but when we called NVC, they still haven't it yet and another called we made, they said it might arrived in the NVC but they still not opening it. maybe next week hopefully!

hi guys.

our i-130 was approved last april 4.... while the i-129f last april 9...

my hubby got the noa2s for both applications.

the nvc has already assigned a case number to our i-130 application as of april 15. how would that affect the i-129f application?

i'm a bit worried coz i'm still partial to pursuing the k3 route coz i really want to be with my husband soon.

your thoughts on this please.

thanks

My thoughts are: I envy your fast approval! Since it was so fast, then why not try the CR-1 if you can... It will also depend on which one gets forwarded to NVC I guess..

At any rate, either one will be a winner for you!

Congratulations!!
