Just curious... we own 3 and board them 20 mins from where we live. My two girls are in 4H and we're starting to get active on the Michigan circuit. Both girls have shown in our county fair as well, and we trail ride/take them camping. I showed in my first show last summer. Just bought a truck... next is a camper/trailer for hauling! Anyone know of any good used trailers (to haul 4 horses... need an extra spot) in the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana area, let me know!

Try jumping fences on a burro.

I was in Belgium and saw horse meat on the menu at several restaurants... I skipped over that when I was reading food options to my daughter...

To each his/her own.

Have to agree with you there... there are several burros on the property where we're boarding. Noble, but stubborn creatures. However, the same words can be used to describe my Appaloosa. I'm half German though... I can be just as stubborn ;-)

I've owned several. My 2nd level dressage competition warmblood is back in the US and probably won't be making the trip to the UK to be here with me, so I'm selling her. At the moment I'm riding a friend's project horse, an ornery little App/Cob cross who can take a fence like anything-for someone who is 14.1 on a good day when her feet aren't trimmed, the things she jumps just for fun are insane!

This was our sweetie, Casper.

He was the absolute most gentlest horse I have ever known. I never even worried when my daughter was around him. He loved being brushed and as you can see by this pic, we didn't have to tie him while we did it, he'd just stand there and take it all in. :)

Unfortunately, he was getting on in years and got arthritis in his joints. So we had the vet put him out of his misery. :(

We will never forget him tho.

We've got 3 giant babies, too. 2 Arabians and 1 QH. Ours are purely for pleasure, we take them on alot of group trail rides and parades. One of our Arabians, a real hambone, is the grandson of the original Black Stallion.

For trailers, I dont know of any in your area, but I recommend Exiss. They make some really nice 4-horse haulers with nice little apartments.

Hi Sharon - One of the first horses my daughter ever rode was named Casper and looked eerily like yours... he belonged to her 4H leader and was one of her lesson horses. He had more of a swayback though. So sorry about your loss... I've had to put 2 dogs down and that was very traumatic.

Thanks for sharing your pic... I tried to attach some of mine but couldn't get it to work... I will try again later.
