I-131 = Traveling Home?

Hi All,

Could someone lend me some assistance with regards to the I-131 form and it's intention?

I'm applying for my AOS and within the documents there is the I-131 which seems to allow the applicant traveling authorization, however reading through the document has lend me to absolute confusion. It appears as if I need to have a valid situation to grant me authorization, when I was hoping that this form would allow me to have the option to travel home (Canada) if need be prior to Green Card approval. In truth I do not have any real immediate intention of traveling home but if the option was open to me I would like to have the possiblity.

Could I still complete the I-131 form or is this not it's intention? If I can complete this form how do I answer "Part 3" with my intended departure date, when I do not have one?

Thanks in advance

Clare

Departure date can be "TBD" and a valid reason in family based cases is "To travel be able to visit family"

Thanks, I will give it a try!

Could anyone possibly be able to help me with one more question? What do they mean in the information about you, when they say "Class of Admission"?

Thanks again,

Clare
