Fantastic news, Eresh! And thanks for posting that about the joint sponsor info.

Rocketta - I am in a similar situation, I just quit my great job of 5 years to go spend time with my husband abroad. Earlier I posted on this site and got some good information about things to consider. It is questionable whether my freelance income will do the trick at the interview - confirmed by Eresh's experience that they wanted to see more than a year at one place (side note: I think I will be insane if I have to wait another year for our interview!) So I lined up my mother as a joint sponsor and will go to our interview with all that paperwork in hand. I won't use it unless they really require it, but I figure it's best to be prepared with the backup plan.

Congrats! The sad part is I worked a job for almost 8 years and just quit. Now if I get a job before I have file the financial support they are going to say I'm not working long enough? :( Thank goodness my mom will co-sponsor if needed.

Hi Eresh and all,

I had the interview on 04/17/08 to USC in Bucharest and we had the same "problem”. We already had at the time of interview a copy of I-864 from a joint sponsor but they ask for the original document .So now we have to wait for the original I-864 and then call for another interview appointment. My question is: Are we going to have another interview or we just have to submit the documents and everything will be ok? The CO told us that everything else is OK but they will grant our IR 1 visa only when we provide the requested documents. The CO told us is no time limits but the sooner the better for us.True.We all want happy ending.

Good luck to you all!
