Wow that's awesome! I was thinking how in chat you said it's been six years and beat that. Then I was considering if we count the time we've really been apart then it's been 4 years for us and 1 and half of it was married to which we only saw each other for 21 days. :(

Really after 2 years of marriage we should make sure they give us the CR-1 visa instead of the K3? In Dec. it will be 2 yrs and I know by then because of the Egyptian Military he won't be here yet.

Anyways congrats again and I hope you are together soon!

After 2 years, they issue the IR-1 visa, its the ten year green card instead of the CR-1 with the two year card.

Many deeply felt thanks to our all of well wishers on our long, meandering visa journey! All those good feelings, lots of earnest prayer, (and a letter from Rep. Tom Tancredo to the consulate) paid off, hamdillallah!

Congratulations!

Uhh, wait a second, is this the same Tom Tancredo that was bashing Muslims all over the place while he was running for President? There's only one right?

Politicians. They never cease to amaze me.

The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )

Yea, it is the same person, but I've known him for about 15 years. His bark is worse than his bite.

He talked about nuking Mecca if another attack like 9/11 happened. He admitted that he engages in hyperbole to get a point across.
