I like to use calling cards because I like to use my cell phone and call whenever I feel like it if I'm home or not. I know Time Warner cable offers an unlimited international calling plan for $20 a month but for most countries you must call a land line and not a cell phone. My husband only has a cell phone. :(

I use www.paytone.com...I choose the continental card...its a pretty cheap rate about 16 cents or so a min and also it can print the calling history which is good for proof needed for validity of the rel at the interview.....

I wished my time warner offered this. I think I pay .34 a minute to call EG. I need to double check into this. Thanks for the info.

I used to buy phone cards every week, but then found out Vonage had an Intl plan that runs only 15us per month and all my calls now to Colombia are free. Dont know about Egypt but you might want to check the Vonage list of Intl calls. Another option you have is to buy a Majickjack and ship it to them, as long as they have high speed internet all the calls are free to and from, it plugs right into the side of the computer and has a phone jack on it, they assign a US number to it.

Hi all,

My husband calls me for free!! He found a web site oovoo.com he set up an account and it allows him to call me anywhere and anytime from his PC. Just need a headset and microphone on his end. He calls me every day.

When you set up the account, they give you 500 minutes for free. I do not know the price to continue the membership, but a little hint....

You can create a new account when your free time is up.

Hope this helps..

Linda

Hi everyone,

I have heard about vonage as well but has anyone here with a fiance/husband from egypt used it. I was looking into it so that my family in egypt would be able to call my husband and talk to him and vice versa without all the extra cost. How much is high speed internet in Egypt?

i always call my fiancee for more than 5 - 6 times in the day from MOROCCO to AMERICA for free yes freeeeeee..!!!

from the PC to the house phone or mobile, the website gives you 500 mins with any nicknam.

example : if you have 3 nicknams that means you have 3 x 500 = 1500 mins

you have to install the messenger on your computer and then call america or canada for free,it does not work from america or canada to the other country.

PM ME IF YOU WANT THE WEBSITE ?
