The reason there's so many fiance visas from Egypt with babies involved is because it was impossible for Egyptians to marry Americans for about a year or so. It's since changed but while it was going on people were married religiously without going to the ministry of justice and then they'd just file the K-1.

So much for me just reading the forums as I typically do. I have to ask regarding the fornification and Islam :o:lol: Is it not true that Islam forbids premarital sex? Is that why there's so many fiance visas in MENA that have children together? Not that I care, because I don't. I just find it interesting.

sure Islam forbids premarital sex . men arenot allowed to touch thier faince just after marriage.

but u know there is something called islamic marriage it is in Allah eyes . it occure by islamic way it require 2 wittness and it should be writen and there is alot memebers here doing it . but it isnot certfied by court or judge but it acceptable by islam

Out of curiosity, how does one get around the idea that wives should have legal rights then? As one who is not techincally married, she would not have rights to inheritence, etc.

Thanks, I know what an Islamic marriage is.... I just thought that Islamic marriage was also made to preserve the rights of both spouses and the children... and if this could not be done I know some debate the validity of the marriage.... this is why some debate the validity of taking more than one wife in a country which forbids polygamy.

so currently, in an egyptian court, would your wife be able to pursue any of her rights?

I really don't think so. I believe from what my husband has said about this is that this "contract" has to be taken to the court, get stamped, then it's legal. If this is a contract that's being talked about I've heard some pretty wild stories about them.
