Airplane Tickets for Lima, Peru

And USE CAUTION if you buy from Taca.

I purchased the ticket from Peru to JFK for Elias from Taca. Then upon receiving my email confirmation I was advised that I needed to sign the receipt when I picked up the tickets. I advised them that since I purchased I third party ticket I would not be picking them up, he would. SO after 3-4 days fighting with the I was advised that I could go to a local office in the US to sign the receipt. Only problem is the nearest local office was in Los Angeles....I am in NM. SO one road trip and almost 30 hours on the road, all was well....I will admit that the price was great (even after the cost of gas to CA) I found out later that United also sells Taca flights for them so the price should be the same....

Many airlines won't even sell you a ticket if you aren't one of the passengers and you are paying with a credit card. Taca does, but with the stipulation that you do it in one of the Taca centers by signature. It sucks that it's so far from where you live. This is done for our own protection, there is a lot of credit card fraud out there.

FYI-Taca and United tickets are NOT the same price, even though it's the same Taca flight. If you buy from United you will pay $200-300 more. United has to make some money too, right?
