Sending my DS-230-I Part I, DS-156 and DS-156K forms

This is probably a strange forum topic but it would be good to know if anyone else experienced the same as me........

I sent all of the above forms 1st class, recorded delivery to the address given on my IV15 form (US Embassy, Immigration visa branch, 5 Upper Grosvenor Street, London, W1A 2JB) over a week ago and on the royal mail website it is saying that they have not been delivered. When I spoke to the Royal Mail they said that items being sent to the embassy take longer to get scanned because of the volume of post. Has anyone else exeperienced this? Is my item there it just hasn't been scanned yet for recorded delivery or should I send another set of forms (luckily I took copies) via Special Next Day delivery????

Sorry if this seems a random post but the comfort is in knowing someone has experienced the same thing as you!

Also, could anyone tell me how soon they got their interview at the London embassy after submitting all their forms?

Firstly you could check by telephoning the DOS they will be able to inform you if packet 3 has been recieved by the embassy, their phone number is 603-334-0700.

From looking at recent timelines interview seem to be a few weeks after recieving packet 3 back from the beneficiary.

This is totally normal, and happens all the time. Many of us even used Special Delivery (myself included) and got the same message. It's almost certainly there and just waiting to be picked up.

Calling the DOS is a good idea, but the number below is incorrect (that one is for the NVC): dial 202-663-1225, then press 1 and then 0 for an operator. Have your case number (begins LND2008) ready. Good luck!
