A life sentence to France. YUCK. That would be torture for me. (Whoops, was that out loud?)

But prison is prison. He'll still be someone's #######.

And his mother herself said this (from the article): "Moussaoui's mother, Aisha el Wafi, said her son would be living like a "rat in a hole" and accused France of siding with the United States during the trial.

"I feel there is a part of me that is dead, buried with my son who will be buried for the rest of his life at the age of 37 for things he hasn't done," she said at a news conference in Paris. (BOO HOO HOO, your son is a wussy wanker...waaaahhhhh. *TracyTN's editorial comment* :)

"The whole world knows it now. France knows it too but France prefers to please the Americans anyway."

Does it really matter? The guy will be locked up for life, not able to participate any longer in his "glorious cause," not getting the martyr's death he wanted. The justice system of the United States of America gave his delusions of grandeur a collective eye-roll. I personally don't give a toss where he serves his sentence (and I'm pleased that he didn't get the death penalty—what a shining moment for American common sense!), as long as he stays locked up and away from his terrorist brethren for life.

Amen.

Moot point, because he probably doesn't drink alcohol.

I saw many a muslim get drunk in Bahrain and Dubai.

Don't get me wrong, lots of people who claim to be Muslim do drink. But this guy strikes me as the pious type. We have a word for them in India, Musuilla... the annoying Muslim who no one invites to any parties ;) Who knows, I could be wrong.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

And I'm sure drinking wine with dinner in France isn't even considered drinking.

Sorry France, he gets to stay in PMITA prison forever.

RE: muslims and drinking, I exchanged a couple emails with a Jordanian blogger. He said the heaviest drinking tourists in the Kingdom are Saudis. So you see how well it works when you force a moral choice on people.

Yeah, I remember dad telling me that Uozo was quite popular with the locals in Turkey. Shouldn't have been if Muslims don't drink. ;)
