Is it a big deal to have the marriage certificate corrected? You just received your NOA1 recently so you have plenty of time before the interview.

I mean... I dont think the incorrect age of your husband would be a problem but I think it is so much better to be prepared just in case.

I would not mention the incorrect data but just in case they bring it up, you'll be prepared to show them the corrected certificate. Just an opinion.

Hi,

Maybe it wont be a problem, but i think it's better to have it corrected while you are still waiting for the NOA2, you still have time to get it corrected. Do this in NSO Main, as they are doing corrections. ( in my opinion, it's better to have all correct infos in marriage certificate, whether it is just only the age"

yeah for me its really a big deal if there is something wrong in our paper even a single info. I'm afraid it will affect our application. Btw i just called the reverend who married us and told us that we need a lawyer for this to be changed :crying:

anyway thanks for the inputs and i really appreciate them :)

Hi,

I don't think it still need for a lawyer about this. I have a friend who had error in their marriage certificate, actually it was left blank for their civil status, the person who typed it didnt put "single" as for their civil status.

Anyways, i think you just need to communicate with the two parties involved ( NSO office and the local civil registrar office where you had your marriage certificate forwarded.

Btw, You are referring to the printed NSO marriage certificate has error right?

So , in order to fix that, first to approach them NSO and local civil registrar on the step you will need to do. I hope you start do about this now, so when you get your approval , you had your marriage certificate corrected. And you wont have problem with the document verification in the interview phase.

Good luck.594855lsln8in60r.gif
