NOA Notification

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who provided an email address, did you receive your NOA via email -and- snail mail? What email address did it come from? I'm afraid that mine might go into my junk mail and I might delete it by mistake!

I filed my I-129F on 4/26/06 with the NSC, so I'm hoping to receive my NOA1 this week....

I received mine by snail mail.

You will get your NOA1 via snail mail. You will only get an email if you signed up to check your status online via uscis.gov website. You will need your receipt number to do this which is found on the NOA1.

Yes, you must wait for your NOA 1 (that will contain your registration number) to arrive in the snail mail and after that, you can register in USCIS website to receive updates on your case via e-mail.

Hey JenT... me too! I sent mine off on 4/26 but to TSC, so I'm anxiously awaiting NOA1 this week also. Having been checking my bank acct online obsessively to see if my check clears! I hope yours comes any day now - mine too! Good luck!

Haven't checked my bank yet... thought I'd give myself a full week ;-)

Hey Noura.... you made me curious so I just checked with my bank... my check was cashed on Monday, 5/1!!! So, I guess that means the NOA is on its way?!?!?!

Hi Karel,

How many days did it take you to receive your snail mail? My bf also sent his application on April 23 at the same District Office of yours but up until now he hasn't received his NOA1. I'm getting worried already since it's taking a long time to receive it. He also told me that the bank has not cleared his check yet. Is this normal for this service center?

Hehe, no. You don't understand. What email address does the USCIS use to send the NOA2? I can put a filter on my yahoo mail to notify my cell phone when I get an email from that address.

My NOA1 arrived today!!! Mailed overnight on 4/26... says the receipt date was 4/27. Postmark on the envelope of the NOA is the same date they cashed my check: 5/1. Arrived in my mailbox on 5/4.

I signed up for email alerts and the confirmation came under this email address: USCIS-CSSO@dhs.gov

I'm assuming that's the email address to expect from here on out...

NOA1 came via snail mail. If you register and sign up, NOA2 will first come via email, followed by the snail mail a week or so later.

Hi Jen,

You can get your receipt # from your cancled check, then sign up on the USCIS for e-mail notification. You can also check your status online. The status will change online first, then an e-mail will be sent out, and finally your approval in snail mail. The e-mail address that they send it from is as follows:

"USCIS-CSSO" <USCIS-CSSO@dhs.gov>
