anyone from april list got their oath letters? its' been a month now but haven't recieved ours. I am sensing the oath letters have slowed down. This is election season and it should be fast in my opinion?

I got my second oath letter on Thursday. I did not go for the first one as I already had made vacation plans which I did not want to change. My oath is on Sep 26th in Cincinnati. I got my first letter after about 5 weeks. I am sure you will receive yours soon. Good luck.

Luckly you - congratulations in getting your oath and soon to be becoming a US citizen.

I had my interview today in Tampa and it went well.

Appointment was for 9:50 got their about 9:20.

Went to front door where they took my appt letter and sent me to a trailer to wait for my name to be called

At 9:40 name was called and went inside the building where i again waited for my name to be called

At about 10:10 I began the interview asked the basic info on the form

I was also asked where my wife was and if he could contact her I said yes if necessary

Informed him of my new job and the trip I took since submitting the form

I then answered the questions

1) when president inaugerated

2) name the 2 senators from florida

3) where is white house located

4) asked about the declaration of independence

I was then asked to write 'Iwant to become a united states citizen' before signing the forms and two passport photos

He said congrats and since it wasnt 10:30 I just made it for the swearing in ceremony this friday.

I was then told to wait outside and someone would give me my letter for attending the swearing in ceremony on 9/26

When I finally got the letter in my hand it was 10:50. It therefore took me all of an hour and a half took get finished.

I have not been in here for a long time. I would like to update my timeline. Today I received IL scheduled for Oct 22/08.

I am very excited and can't wait for the day to come!!!

Thank you K! My journey was finally over. I hope you get a progress to the interview and the Oath ceremony very soon.

Just wanna share a news that I am now finally a USC. I had the interview on 10/22 and I was also lucky enough to have the same day Oath ceremony. It was a long day for me but I was very happy and felt relief that it was really over!

I arrived at the DO (Baltimore District) and checked in at about 1.5 hour earlier. ( no traffic though).

I thought it would be a long boring wait. Then I was surprised when I was called in after the only 20 min wait!

My interview did not start off smoothly though. IO notified me as soon as I sat down in her office that my application might be submitted too early.

She recounted my days and double checked with her supervisor. I was in the meanwhile really nervous! IO came back in 5 min and told me that my application was ok to process. I asked her what would happen if it was not ok..she replied quickly that I would be declined.

I would recommend everyone to make sure your days of eligible submission, otherwise it could create unfortunate results.

IO then got right started the interview process, I swore in then she asked for my passport, Greencard and DL. IO did not ask for any originals or additional documents from me.

We went through the test very quickly I answered correctly 6 questions and these are the questions;

1. Names countries that were our enemies during the World War II

2. In what year was the Constitution written?

3. What colors are the stripes on the flag?

4. Who nominates judges for the Supreme court?

5. What the capital of the state you live in?

6. What is the minimum voting age in the United States.

IO then moved on to the reading and writing test. Then she congratulated me that I passed all the test, I signed the photos and a paper. She reviewed information and asked questions on the application. She especially reviewed my tax income that filed in my case, just to confirm my marriage status. Then she congratulated me and handed me the N-652 interview result with an announcement that my application was recommended for approval.

IO also offered me an appointment for an OATH Ceremony that was held later on the same day. I was so excited and very happy to attend the Ceremony afterward. The interview process took about 20 min, even finished before my actual appointment time. IO was very professional and helpful. She gave me some advises about the OATH Ceremony and apply for a passport as well.

At the Oath Ceremony, there were 35 new USCs. It was a lifetime experience. I was very happy and could not believe that I became a new proud USC. I returned my greencard and every new USC received a welcome kit and letter. We swore in and sung a National Anthem. I received a Naturalization Certificate and ended the Ceremony with pictures taken. The process lasted about 45 mins.

This has been a long frustrate process for me, although it actually ended within a timeline process (a total of 177 days).

I did have a rough path about getting my FP. I contacted USCIS and made INFO PASS many times until I got my FP appoinment. I never gave up hopes and I always trust my instinct. I really want to thank every post member here who shares experiences and information.

Finally reaching the last step of this long journey. Just got my oath letter, updating the timelines. :dance:
