How many UK people are DCFing

You know what really bugs me most, is there seems to be no consistency with the embassy. Some get RFE's for affidavits, some don't. We have been married for over two years, I have lived in the UK over two years. I sent a copy of both my visa's (my first FLR and my second FLR) showing dates I have entered the UK. You would think between that and copies of bank statements, council tax bills and our rental agreement that is all the evidence they need! They returned all the bills/statements btw! If I get an RFE for affidavits I will scream!

I know what you mean

I didn't supply much (if any actually) evidence of a 'bonafide' marriage in my I-130.. just got the forms and stuff it asked for on the check list and sent it in

no RFE, accepted etc

then reading some of the stories here I am now really worried at what to bring to the final interview next month.. we dont have a shared bank account or rental agreement, but do have lots of mail coming to the same address and plenty of people able to write affidavits if required, but the level of disparity between cases is quite significant!

They specifically ask you not to send evidence with your I-130.

I think they just RFE people if there's any question over it. I think we probably got one cos we'd only been married 2 minutes before we filed!! But they turned it around in no time, and sent us all the paperwork back besides the affidavits.

They didn't want to see anything like that at the interview. I suppose if they don't ask for it by the time you've got your interview, then they're probably pretty satisfied with your case. It definately doesn't hurt to bring some, in fact I would advise to bring anything you have, but don't stress about it :star:

Hi All

Posted our I 130 for Hubby and Daughter in March 14 2008 and then they charged the CC a week later. No word back from them. Not the NOA1 or NOA2...

Hope it all happens sometime soon. Although the timeline on this site changed drastically and will not look at that anymore because I Know we will hear from them by next month...

Hi All,

We are DCFing. Filed the initial I-130 in Jan and got our NOA2 this past Tuesday. Going to send off for his police cert. this week just so that its done and at the same time talk to his GP about his jabs and see where he stands with those. She is going to sign his picture and the statement for the police so we might as well do it all at the same time.

Good luck to everyone.

I think the picture thing can be a problem for a lot of people. The only one that Glyn has on that whole list is his GP or the dentist.

I think the hoops that everyone has to jump through to get their visa is really unbelievable (although part of me understands it). When I came here on my spousal visa, all I did was send in the money and a bunch of paperwork to the UK Embassy in NY. I got my visa in the mail within 4 days.

The thing that really doesn't add up with the ACPO cert is that you need it even if you've only lived in the UK for 6 months. Yet they need someone to sign it that has known you for more than 2 years

Does that mean that your doctor from another country could sign the photo??

No i have received anything and i did include my email address on the forms so i have no idea what to think.

I wouldn't worry to much. I have heard of a number of people who received no NOA1...only that their credit card was charged. I am in the same boat...filed late Feb....we are waiting for NOA2 and Packet 3...maybe as soon as two weeks!!! We have our DS-230, checklist, police certs, and sponsorship forms all ready.

By the way, another helpful profession to sign the back of the photos for the UK police cert (APCO) is lecturer....any university lecturer will do!!!
