How many UK people are DCFing

Hi all,

i was wondering how may people were in the same boat as me? i know carin123 and redkitty are and i think there are a couple more? so how many people are actually married and applying for green card via DCF I-130 etc out of curiousity and so we can keep an eye on each other. I received NOA1 on the 4-4-08

I am doing I-I30 DCF. Filing date was 29th January and we recieved our RFE on saturday 10th April. This was for affidavits from hubby and 3 others.We are organising them as i type.

However we are not planning to move stateside for around another 12 months so trying to drag it out......

We are (I, the UKC, Amanda the USC) we just got our interview date confirmed after almost two months of anguish

May the 15th here we come!

now to sort out err.. everything!

Milena and I received a RFE just after submitting the I-130 in mid-February. Sent it back immediately and credit card was finally charged on the 25 of February. Looking forward to getting our NOA2 in the next few weeks!

Yeah i saw you were done which is sweet and im Jealous. We arent planning on leaving until the end of the year so you'll be there before me definitely.

I'm from Mayo, but I live here, in London right now.

Well it is nice that we've finished, but we've been doing paperwork of all kinds for almost a year.

I sent off the first UK application for my OH to be here on an EU family members permit last June, and was preparing that paperwork since the April before, so.... it hasn't exactly been quick. We needed that permit for him to stay here, and also to be able to get married without paying the Home Office £500 just so they can issue a 'Certificate of Approval' to say that we are allowed to get married. Rip off merchants!!! Really the CR-1 was just the last of a loooong paper trail.

I know the feeling about the paper trail I tried for the EU family member thing in Ireland took the 14months to say no ridiculously illegal and other such things. we took a break from the paperwork but got right backk into it. Filed all the I-130 stuff and now we are getting all the other stuff together 864s 230s all that type of stuff its not fun and im heading for a vent due to my impatience.

yeah, I heard that the EU Family Member thing was a total mess in Ireland. It's just such a new thing in Ireland for any large numbers of people to want to immigrate there that there's nothing set up, no proper procedures, no appropriatly trained staff, in appropriate numbers. So a lot of people's lives were in a mess. I'm sorry you had such a crappy experience with the Irish immigration service.

At least in the UK, they have a fully realised system, even if it is a pain in the @ss.

You know what really bugs me most, is there seems to be no consistency with the embassy. Some get RFE's for affidavits, some don't. We have been married for over two years, I have lived in the UK over two years. I sent a copy of both my visa's (my first FLR and my second FLR) showing dates I have entered the UK. You would think between that and copies of bank statements, council tax bills and our rental agreement that is all the evidence they need! They returned all the bills/statements btw! If I get an RFE for affidavits I will scream!

Yes i agree and ive been curious to see if you will get an RFE for that or not having seen alot of people get theres sent back, Although when they RFE'd me for the Time i had lived in the UK they had stapled all of my affidavits together with the I-130 G-325a's saying they wanted it all back and then i got all of the stuff back after they billed me so i reckon they scanned the lot.
