Hey there,I am the beneficiary of the petition.My question is can I call the USCIS # customer service 1 785 3301048 and ask for our case number??? Well im just soo excited coz i signed up for the email notification but the problem is i still don't have the case number.My fiance has not given it to me yet since he's too busy to scan the paper for me.So im thinking of just calling that number.Is it ok?? will they accomodate me? Or maybe ill just wait until my fiance give me the number well in that case i dont know when since he works 2 jobs since april. any advice you can give?? Thanks for your replies.

Probably they won't release info except to the USC - and forgive me for being obtuse but why does your fiance have to SCAN the NOA1 document in??? He can just EMAIL / Messgae / TELL the case number to you....

Hi Elizabeth.

You can easily sign in for a case status update at the USCIS website. Just ask your fiance to give you the Receipt Number written on the Notice of Action (I-797C) mailed to your fiance. The receipt number starts with a WACxx-xxx-xxxxx. You just have to input it when you sign up at the uscis website.

It's been a while since I've had a reason to call the NCSC, but I think the first question they're going to ask you is, "What is the case number?"

And, as Jaylen Brit writes, they will only give out information about a petition or application to the person who submitted it - in this case your fiance.

He can just tell you the case number through e-mail, instant messenger, phone, etc, lots of ways no need to scan anything.

Why not call your fiance and have him tell you the number? Easy and fast.
