My fiancée is scheduled to have her interview on the 14th of May. I am now trying to get the Affidavit together for her.

I can only get reports sent to me from the IRS telling me what I have made in the past 3 years. I am filing for this year. So I will be able to include this years w-2’s and tax info.

I will also get a letter from my employer for the affidavit telling them how much I make. Because I will not start the new job until next month, it is a little hard to come up with a pay stub.

I have no banking statements to give. I am just trying to get a new life started after things went bad at my last job. I had to move. So things are a little unorganized.

Will this be enough for the affidavit? Or is there something else I can do.

Because of the transition, I am staying with my parents for a little time. I thought that after the wedding, my fiancée and I could get an apartment or something. Maybe she would like to help pick the place that we will be living.

Thanks for all the help

Tim

Do you meet the requirements on income alone? If so, then you will not need any of the bank information. That is only needed if you are using your savings to make up the difference in income.

I should think that if your tax returns show your income history and a letter from your new job, you should be OK.

What if you are border line in terms of income?

The way I read it, you either meet the guidelines or you don't. Then again, it is at the discretion of the CO. If you feel like you are too close to the minimum it wouldn't hurt to add any info on savings/assets you may have, or even have a cosponsor lined up just in case (if you can have a cosponsor at your consulate).
