well I just think some polls could use just a yes or no answer and no explainations that turn into bickering just because people don't agree

What if people find the topic interesting and want to discuss the findings or whatever else? They would need to post a new topic about it elsewhere (presumeably in a different forum as the "poll" part of it would already be covered).

I think, perhaps, what Amber is getting at is she wants to see some polls without this discussion. Just like an election. When you go to vote there is no place to write a comment, you simply chose your candidate or decide on the issue and be done with it. All remains secret.

Won't the poll drop off the first page rather quickly if there are no responses to bump it, or is it bumped when a new vote is added?
