Hi

I am a little confused I made my namechange at the SSO,so I have my EAD and SSN Card in my new name.

I have my interview for the AOS shortly ans was wondering if I need a namechange on the marrige certificate or not.

I do need to pick up a certified copy and am a little confused.

Oh and I also wanted to know if I should make ANOTHER copy of the Tax returnes for the AOS Interview?

I already submitted 3 of them when I mailed of my AOS.

Or is it okay to make a copy of the last one?

We filed the 2008 one together but have not got anything back yet, just have proof that we filed together electronicly..

Thanks a bunch.

You do not need to do anything - Hopefully you filed your AOS in the married name (if that's what you want). Yes, you can print copies of your tax return and take them as a backup (they should have all the stuff you sent in your file but many people take a copy of everything for back-up along with some original documents). (You do not need to do anything to the marriage certificate.) Relax & Good Luck

Yes I filed the AOS in my new name

Then the only thing you need to do about your name is get a new or corrected passport sometime soon. This has nothing to do with AOS, just convenience of travel later.

Thanks for the tip, yeah I am going to have to go out of my way to get a new passport(the nearest embassy is 12 hours away from me,so I would have to fly there)

I am just going to book all flights in my maiden name,or in my new name and take the marrige certificate with me.
