Their website says that they are planning construction in Charlotte, so maybe soon.

I believe construction is to be completed sometime next year. We're hoping to be gone from North Carolina by then. maybe somewhere closer to an Ikea. ;)

*sigh* I miss Ikea, there isn't one here in North Carolina. I love their gadgets and and stuff. I love their votive candle holders 4 for $2 and their spice jars, 4 for $2. Great prices!

Their website says that they are planning construction in Charlotte, so maybe soon.

spring 2009 :(

I'll have to go to Atlanta to get Ikea stuff.. although the ATL ain't far, just 4 hours, cheaper than paying for the shipping

IKEA Rocks. As some have written, their accessories are great. However, if I'm not mistakened, all of the furniture that contains wood is actually compressed wood. You really want to check it out what you are considering purchasing, but the majority of it is pretty good interim furniture. We own some ikea furniture. Cheers!!!

Our tv stand and computer desk from Ikea are both regular (non-compressed) wood.

I love IKEA! Hubby isn't a big fan because of the flimsyness of some furniture but I frequently get homesick when we go there. It got to a point where I started to cry, because hubster didn't support my idea of buying the same shower curtain I had in my apt. in Germany.

I called him an insensitive ####### and ignorant towards my european culture :lol: and he ended up buying it just to make me happy. uhhhh, all I have for an excuse is that i was 3 months pregnant then and very emotional... :girlwerewolf2xn:

we never had problems with our furniture and luckily so far we were able to fit everything in our suv so we didn't have to worry about the expensive shipping charges.
