Send the 70 bucks and the I 864. If you don't then you must begin from scratch or leave the country. The USCIS has no tolerance for " hard times".

You should take this a little more seriously.

Send them before the 87 days. Life will only get worse if you don't.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I don't understand how this stuff can be forgotten. Everyone seems to live on eggshells waiting to hear for any type of news about their case. I would say that if the 87 days has passed then your application will be denied.

Sorry guys but last night I was not at my best and I dident explain everything, god I hate dealing with the USCIS. Here is the letter and email I sent out today to my Congressman and Senater's. I hope you get a bit more information from it.

I am having a few problems with the USCIS and it’s a frustrating mess of poor communication and proper action not taken. On 5-3-2006 I received the First follow-up letter give a Biometrics Appointment for our I-485 Case. This may seem like this is a step forward but really it’s a step backward because we never received the “Initial Request for Additional Evidence” that they stated was sent out in August.

I did ask them to resend the “Request for Additional Evidence” and I’ve checked with the post office a few times since but still nothing. I need this request for our own documentation and to make sure that the case is it’s correctly filed. Also another concern of mine is the Initial Fee for the I-485. When we first mail the case it was sent with one check of the lump sum. They later returned it to and told us that the checks must be separate. So again we sent it with $385 for the I-485 and $175 for the work permit, they sent that back explaining to us that on an I-485 Based on a K1 Visa they didn’t need the $70 Fee for Biometrics. So we sent the I-485 back again and low and behold it was finally accepted. Later on I go a letter requesting the $70 Biometrics Fee, now total Baffled I called the USCIS Helpline. I can’t remember exactly what was said but it was something along the line of it being a mishap and not to worry about it. Last but not least we had Biometrics taken on 1-19-2006 in Relations to the I-765 “Application for Employment Authorization” and we have heard nothing relations to her work permit.

We have now given up calling and feel that there is need to take further action. What we now need now is correct answers and updated documentation sent to us, no more misleading information and “unsent” documentation. If they really do need this fee we need an up-to-date letter or some other source of physical documentation “Newly requesting the $70 for Biometrics” so not fault given. Second we need the “Request for Additional Evidence” in relation to the I-485 Sent to us so we are able to follow up and again we will have it for are own documentation. Third what is the hold up with the I-765 Application for Employment Authorization?

I'm a little confused...the fingerprints were done on January 19, and you haven't looked into getting an interim EAD? Seems like you'd be eligible for it by now.

And your original post stated that you got two letters saying you had to pay in 87 days, and (I assume) you had neglected the letters and not paid in that time. But the letter to your Congressman didn't say that, or mention those letters. Not quite sure I understand...
