I'm from Indiana, am a bit of a hick, and agree with Obama's assessment of life in the Midwest at the moment.

I didn't find anything about his speech offensive.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

The DNC should be very concerned right about now.

You would have to be living under a rock if you haven't heard that Obama's lead is virtually insurmountable, and everyone has to believe that it is contrary to the Democrats long term efforts to drag the primaries out this long, and Yet- about half of the remaining Democratic voters would rather keep Hillary Clinton in the election till the end that just hand it over to Obama so the Dems can get on with Campaigning against McCain.

I'm sorry, but how can you believe that the majority of the country is excited about voting for him when almost half of the voters in his own party are content to make him fight to the bitter end to get his chance?

What you seem to forget here is that McCain has his own battle all cut out for him. Nobody focuses on that just yet but we all soon will. You see, his moving ever closer to the ever more unpopular Bush and his failed policies and flip-flopping on issues to court the right wing, just how can you believe he'll stand a chance in November?
How I can believe it is because of one more thing you forget. I am a Republican. And as a Republican I actually support most of those things that he moves ever closer to Bush on- and so do most of us.

There ain't that many of you then. Or how do you explain a 28% approval rating?

And do you think it smart for a candidate to align himself with a failed President?

Mr.Big , et al. I'm afraid you're in denial. He really fcuked up this time as he exposed himself to middle America for what he really is; an elitist far left liberal.

McCain, and the Replublican party won't let anyone forget this, now, or in the general election.

Just because the current President has a 28% approval rating doesn't mean I change parties. That's throwing the bath out with the bath water. I wouldn't vote for Bush for a third term, nor would I vote for Cheney, but since neither is running I don't have to concern myself with that. Incidentally, just because I wouldn't vote for Cheney doesn't mean by any stroke of the imagination that I would vote for Obama. I didn't vote for Bush Sr. in 92 or Dole in 96, but I also never voted for Clinton.

Why in the hell anybody would remain faithful to a party just because they are registered to it boggles my mind.

That wasn't really the point of what I said. What I meant was that being Republican, I have certain ideals, and those ideals are more closely alligned with McCain than any Democrat by far.

Neither will the non-lefty Dems.

More aligned with which McCain? The one prior to being the Republican nominee or the one after that seeks to court the right wing?

ETA: Or both?

Oh you mean the second one I guess. I'd have to say it depends on which part you are alligning. I'd be suprised to see Bush out on the Campaing trail with McCain a lot. I think it is smart to allign yourself with who you are, whether what you stand for is popular or not. McCain himself has said that supporting the war in Iraq may cost him the election, and as he says if it does, it does. That's one thing I do admire about Bush. Approval be damned. He's going to stick to what he said he would do.

Seriously, I can decide what we have here. Either

or

spammer2.jpg

Take your pick.

Typical angry response, trying to garner a laugh and an excellent example of antagonism for which I have been warned and berated for all the time. But approved of because it comes from the ilk of one of the team.

What's up with that victim mentality? I expected more of you, Marc. I really did.

Avoid, then bait! Break some more of your record collection, then look at them and think about what your sayin :bonk::rofl:
