Hi Guys,

I know that this maynot work, but I'm going to try. My main objective is to have my fiance be able to go to the Interests Section and physically pick up the packet. If it gets sent in the mail it could take months to reach him...if ever!!

Our case was approved at VSC on 1/31/2006 and received by NVC on 2/3/2006. I called NVC and obtained the HAV number assigned by them. This info is on the ltr and I'm faxing the I-797. I used the provisional ltr on this site, thanks.

I'll let you know what happened.

Hi Toria,

Your best bet is to call the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba to set-up an appointment to pickup the package but that is nearly impossible from what I have heard from other VJ members going through the Embassy in Cuba. So yes go ahead and try what you are doing. Let us know how it went.

Good luck,

Peter Miami

Hi Peter and All!!

Yes, I faxed the 2 page document at the very end of the day. The consul section closes at 5p Cuba time, (4p Philadelphia time), and I was faxing at 5:03p Cuba time. This could be good or bad. I think for overkill I'll fax again tomorrow. I have instructed my fiance to call the consul section on Wednesday to find out if he can pick up the info packet. I'll keep you all posted. I so appreciate all of you, thank you for all comments!!
