finally , something happened on my case..

The status changed on the WEBSITE today for my I-129F... last updated on website at 4/11/2008.. also received email on my phone..

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. THIS IS DIFFERERNT FROM THE ORIGINAL I RECEIVED.. I will do some more analysis on if it is good or not.. Originally (my I-130 still has this), it says:

My Analysis : If it continues to be touched next week, then everything is good.. if it is like last time and only touched once (and not again next week) then I'm calling again and they are just updating because they don't want to look at it.. but I'm going to make them look at it.. .. there is something different in the 2nd message.. hopefully it is good... but I would have to find some more info on this..

got two touches this weekend.. all on the website too.. the website that no one updates..

got a touch April 11 (Friday), then April 13 (Sunday)..

edp333, you haven't finished the whole process yet? wow, you are still under AR?.. they are sure making everyone wait it out.. :angry: they have an excuse for everything.. I had to make 7 calls last week to bother them enough to get another service request..

seems like the NVC / Consulate trip is about 2-3 months, then you would get the interview?? Hopefully I won't have any more problems if I do get approved..

Gogo you and me are in the same situation. My case got transffered to the local houston office back in Jan. One year ago we did a congressional and all they told us was that we were stuck in background checks. Then at the start of this year we got notice that our I130 was sent to the local Houston office. Im hoping that them sending the case to Houston is a possible sign that the background checks are complete. I have made and info pass April 3 and all they told me was that they were going to get the supervisor to look at the file that was in Houston. So now there is waiting time. I have been checking the USCIS web site but there has been no updates at all. The I129F has no touches since Feb of last year and the I130 was last touched in Jan when my case was sent the the local Houston office. I was hoping to get some touches after the infopass but still none have been made. After an info pass do people usually notice touches and if so after how long do they show up? Well Gogo Im wishing you the best we are both stuck in the same situation, and trust me I know how you feel. I wish they would interview me as they did you if that is what they want so at least I would feel as if we are a step closer to and approval.

By the way do any of the recent background checks changes benefit us in any way? And if so how?

Yep, there are still some us waiting (just a little further down the road). Our interview is Wednesday, finally!!! We had to wait 4 and half months after turning in the DS156 for the interview!

wow, there's still a long road ahead for me.. :crying: oh well, I won't lose hope and keep on believing we will get approved soon......

Yes, we got transferred to the local office November 2007, then I torpedoed them on the telephone asking where my case was.. the local office (on Dec 26) said it was at the NBC (National Benefits Center), while the CSC (website) said they transferred to local office.. so they transferred my case back to the local office for a local office interview.. have you got to that part yet? keep complaining until you do.. now I got touched last Friday and yesterday on the website with a new message... "pending standard processing at a USCIS office" - not "transferred to LOS ANGELES office" anymore.. I see that a couple of other people have also been touched Friday and Sunday.. so hopefully it will mean something good for us.. good luck on your journey too.. keep pressuring those people and fax them everyday.. I'm talking about at least 30-40 people and fax them everyday for a week.. you will definitely hear some answers.. also try looking for FOIA too (Freedom of Information Act)..
