If they are all consenting, willing adults- I don't see a problem with it. To each his own- if it makes them happy. Technically only the first wife is actually legal and the other wives are aware of that fact.

If a man is being deceptive and living separate lives with different wives and families and none of them are aware of the others- I find that scenario wrong.

NO, I am not good at sharing, but, I could take more than one husband, only, for the benefit of mankind. I know, my sacrifice is amazing, just trying to help the planet.

If you think I need to find more husbands, you know, if it will save the planet, than shout out to me.

Hellz yea ! :hehe:

Do Muslim's practice poligamy (up to four wives?) in this country (USA)? I've seen a sector of the Mormons do this also but they don't seem to have a limit in the number of wives. Do any other religions accept poligamy? What male would want to be married to a woman who had multiple husbands; I'm not sure why a woman would find it acceptable unless there was a llimited number of males who could support her family. If that was the case, that society has more serious problems to deal with.

My husband is arab, as you can see by the flag, and they can have up to 4 wifes. My rule is always this; you get another wife, I get another husband, period. And the new husband will be young and hot!!!!!! Cures that kinda talk everytime.

A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.

Since I'm a "character" magnet, about 16 years ago I was walking down the street and all of a sudden I notice this guy in a tan Mercedes following me.He stops the car, gets out and said that he saw me in the neighborhood,he liked me,and wanted to know if I wanted to be his second wife.Of course I told him to get lost.

Actually polyandry (having multiple husbands) is followed in very rare parts of India and also in Nepal(doubtful though).

There are cases where all the brothers of the family are married to a same woman. Well I say, more power to that woman :P

My husband's father had 12 wives. they are not Muslim nor Morman. It is a cultural thing rather than a religious one in his country, in most cases.

However, when I asked him if the his uncle's girlfriend had a child by the uncle, he got very tight-lipped and said, "He's married," as though that made it impossible. When I pointed out that his father was married but had children with more than one woman, he said it was different. Apparantly, if you are officially married it is a different thing. I still don't understand it. But the women in Africa who are second "wives" don't seem to have any problem with it. (You are called a wife if you have a child with the man regardless of relationship status.) I don't know how the first wives feel about it. I know my husband's mother was about 9th or 10th and knew about all the others and didn't mind. She lived with a few of them, but they were scattered all over the region.

My husband thinks the practice is stupid in this day and age. His brother has children with several women and it makes my husband angry.

He knows that if he ever wants to get rid of me, he only has to take up with another woman.

In one of my anthro classes,we learned that in some African countries a woman can marry a man and a woman at the same time.
