hello everybody....My fiance applied for K1 and he forgot to put my son's name on the I129F until the papers forwarded at the US embassy in Manila.... i called the US embassy and faxed them the acknowledgement letter from my fiance to include my son on the petition. My problem is that i have the copy of I129F which my fiance originally sent to USCIS... i dont have the copy of the corrected I129.... Do the consul ask for it??? although my son is not going with me... will it be a reason for them to refuse to give me VISA??? plsss, i need your answers... im so confuse and tense... my Interview date is on June 16.... Do i need to bring the kid with me at the interview?? any similar cases here like mine???

Your child only needs to attend the interview if they are 14 or over and will be travelling with you

If the boy is not applying for a visa then there is no reason for him to come with you to your interview.

I would be surprised of your visa application was refused because of the failure of your fiance to put the boy's name on the petition, especially if the oversight has been brought to their attention already. The anecdotal evidence is that many people fail to list the benficiary's children on the petition due to the mistaken belief that it's only required if the children will also be applying for a visa.

That may be so at the consulate in London, but it is not true at all consulates that only 'travelling with' children over 14 are required to attend the visa interview with their parent.

At some consulates 'travelling with' children of any age are required to attend the interview. There are countries that have fraud problems with regard to children, and they want to at least see the child even if they don't actively interview them.

The K-4 visa will not be denied because the child's name is not listed on the I-129F petition as long as it can be established that he/she is the minor, unmarried child of the applicant issued a

K-3 visa.

I think, it applied to all K VISA. Correct me if I am wrong...I am in the process of my research. I didn't list my fiancee's daughter on my I-129F either. Her daughter will not apply for visa.
