To give you all a bit of background, my Oksana needed a new passport. They don't hand them out very easily in her country. During her first attempt to get one they were pushing her back far to the list, since the Muslim Holy Days were happening during the end of Janurary. Well, the little 5'1" Russian girl did not matter since her country is more 80% Muslim and everyone of Muslim faith was rushing to get to Mecca. They over and over always forget some type of document they needed, I even had to send her the original NOA 1 and 2. They wanted more proof and for them to be translated to Russian. So I emailed the Embassy in Kazakhstan the problem we were having since our original interview date was for the end of January and Oksana did not have a valid passport if she was approved and we may get a new one by March. They understood the problem with the passports and they were fine and understandable about the situation and gave us a new interview in March with hopes we would get the passport and not have to travel back and forth to the Embassy. It is a long and tiring trip of 4 hours into athoner country, the Kazakhstan Embassy does the interviews for the 4 former Soviet Republics. March comes and still no passport, Oksana goes to the interview passes and they even gave her an offical letter from the Embassy to regain access with no problems when she receives the new passport. Finally we get the new passport early April and Oksana goes back for the long journey to the Embassy and the Visa is in her new passport. Oksana emails me she has noticed they put her old passport number on the visa and she is concered she is not going to be able to leave the country. So I email and send scanned photos of the old, new passports along with the visa. Well, that will not work, it is incorrect. She must now go all the way back there with the mysterious manila envelope and get this corrected. Oksana is not happy and it caused her almost to give up everything, this is a big under taken on her part and she's been there enough. And not to mention the travel money I must give her to travel back and forth. Now I didn't get nasty with the Embassy since I know what they could do and play games. I informed them nicely through email we had travel plans for May 14th and can this be done in time? They allowed Oksana to come any time between set hours to get this corrected, the interview dates are only Tuesday's and Thrusday's. Well, Oksana is HOT and not happy but I talked and talked to her not to say much since they still hold our fate in their hands with the mistake at hand and just put on a :D face. So of course like a typical women they do not listen and she questions them on this and it turns into it's Your Fault....No it's your Fault...... Well, I don't know what happened at the Embassy, they did email me back since I informed them that she will be there on the set hours and that day and their only one word respone was "Done". Well, the long and short of the story is PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR VISA BEFORE YOU LEAVE AND MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECT. No matter what the problem was I stand behind my Oksana 100% and belive they saw the mistake the first time and let everything go and did not want to correct their mistake because it would have met they would have had to gotten off their lazy asses and fixed the problem. I would imaging that an Embassy does this all the time and what do we the people know what is to be on that Visa??? We know they are the Experts??
